Масленицу здесь отметили по старинной традиции. К приезду гостей уже дымились шашлычницы и самовары. Ели блины, много и разных. Пекли их здесь прямо на мангалах, под открытым небом, индивидуально для каждого гостя.
Потом собирали масленичные призы в древних славянских забавах. Состязались в современных русских конкурсах. Устроили национальные танцы под снегом.
Яркая кульминация - самые популярный аттракцион Масленицы в Березках - ледяной столб. Его поставили на поляне, облили водой, а сверху подвесили мешки с главными призами! Под дикий ор толпы укратить его попытался каждый мужчина на этом празднике весны. Столб брали хитростью! Подарки доставал единственный в толпе смельчак и сразу для всех! Взрослым - вечер на двоих, детям - пряники, да баранки с конфетами.
Водили хороводы, перетягивали канаты, а вместе с ними и внимание видео-камер, да фото-объективов.
Под вечер состоялось главное масленичное действо! Самый красивый и особо торжественный ритуал. Чучело зимы сжигали по всем правилам. Говорят, дым, поднимаясь в небо, уносит с собой холода, снегопады и непогоду. Когда разгребали головешки - над Березовой рощей выглянуло солнце. Совпадение?!

Year after year there is a special “Easter miracle” competition which is held as part of the Easter celebration.
For now, it had already been the tenth time for it to take place under the roof of MTV-Center where quite vast assortment of original cuisine was offered. There were huge amounts of Easter cakes, meat, fish plates and colored eggs.
We decided not to participate with “restaurant hits”, but to make any dish a delightful dainty for family dinner.
Italian Restaurant MYA offered the goat-fish baked with Atlantic salmon and covered in Parmesan cheese. Also there were baked quails and ducks stuffed with prune and pistachio with the leek housing.
Mir Cafй chef followed the best traditions of Easter meals preparation. She cooked some Easter pies and cakes under the covering of whipped cream.
“Crown dish” turned out to be the sturgeon stuffed with salmon and pike perch. It was assumed to be an absolute winner as the guests had purchased it almost instantaneously, as a main adornment of the meals.

The most favorite cook of Joseph Kobzon, Denis Panov’s (two-times culinary championship of Russia winner) apprentice, Dmitry Semikin demonstrated top class of concoction for MYA Restaurant guests. This is an obligatory rule for any Taster Club fellow: you should taste and appreciate author’s dishes only as they will have been cooked in front of your very eyes.
Semikin combined the cooking process with spice and sauces concoction masterclass. How not to spoil the dish or turn the traditional course into the pure work of art?
VIP-cards holders of the First Official Taster Club of the Chuvash Republic were given exclusive privileges and opportunities in tasting the dishes the whole world would like to taste, in the interpretation of Moscow chef.
Top dish today is: Beef and goat cheese.
Fruit picture had been offered as the dessert for champagne, while one of the guests suggested it should be put on auction instead.
There was, however, some kind of a personal gift from Dmitry Semikin, the chef, as well – Lamb Flambé. The dish’s cooked in front of the guests, 4 hands required. The audience always waits for this fascinating fire show. The chef has to predict how the taste of the dish can change afterwards. Cognac odorizes it with nut and chocolate flavor, whisky brings astringent, rum and liqueur add rich fruit-coffee fragrance. It has to be tasted!
The second Taster Club meeting will be held on March 4th in MYA Restaurant.
